This training covers essential skills for tyre fitting, brake and shock absorber fitment, wheel balancing, and alignment. Emphasis is placed on workshop safety, tool handling, and pneumatic equipment. The aim is to prepare learners for roles in auto repair workshops, tyre fitment centres, or motor dealerships, where they can work as tyre fitters, vehicle service assistants, or alignment technicians
Programme Structure
Phase 1
- General workshop safety rules and practices
- Safety signs and colour coding
- Basic hand tools and measuring equipment
- Basic pneumatic and power tools and equipment
- Remove, test, repair and refit tyres
- Balance wheels
- Wheel alignment
- Remove and refit a braking system
- Remove and refit shock absorbers
Phase 2
Duration: 4 Weeks
Minimum Group Size: 5 delegates
Entry Requirements:
- Grade 10
Included:
- Limited Toolbox and PPE (Jacket, Gloves & Safety Goggles)
- Training Materials & Consumables provided
- Safety Shoes compulsory (learner to be in possession)
