The Information Technology stream introduces students to the essential skills needed in our digital world. It covers foundational computer literacy, including Microsoft Office tools, internet research, basic coding concepts, and digital communication. Through hands-on learning, students gain practical experience that will benefit them in both academic and workplace settings. This stream is ideal for students considering careers in IT, software development, or digital marketing, and it lays a strong foundation for further technical education.

Programme Structure:

  • Acquire essential computer literacy skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and digital communication tools
  • Develop competence in internet research, information management, and responsible digital practices.
  • Gain introductory knowledge of coding concepts and the fundamentals of programming.
  • Engage in practical, hands-on learning to strengthen problem-solving abilities and workplace readiness.
  • Build a strong foundation for future studies and careers in IT, software development, and digital marketing.
Integrates various components such as classroom sessions, introductory safety workshops, and foundational theoretical modules to establish a strong educational base. As students progress, they engage in advanced practical workshops, collaborative group projects, and individual assignments designed to enhance their expertise and deepen their understanding. The initial months focuses on core trade principles, basic concepts, and essential safety practices, whereafter students advance to developing in-depth technical skills, mastering problem-solving strategies, and applying theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios.

Duration:
6 Months - 1 Year

Entry Requirements:

  • 60%+ for Mathematics, Physical
    Science/Accounting, English FAL/HL;
  • 60% + for any other two subjects
    excluding Life Orientation.
