Programme Structure

Phase 1

Modular Delivery While Maintaining Full Programme Outcomes

To make the programme more accessible and affordable, the original course has been broken down into smaller, competency-based modules.

Importantly:

  • All original learning content, practical activities, assessments, and outcomes remain unchanged
  • The programme is not shortened or diluted — it is restructured for phased delivery
  • When all modules within a trade area are completed, the learner will have achieved the same outcomes as the original full programme

In other words, the learner is completing the same training, just in smaller, manageable sections rather than one continuous block.

Assessment, Results, and Certification

  • After completion of each individual module, the learner will receive a Statement of Results (SoR) confirming the competencies achieved in that module.
  • These Statements of Results provide formal evidence of skills gained and can be used for:
    • Employment purposes
    • Skills verification
    • Progressive learning records

Once a learner has successfully completed all modules within a specific trade area (e.g. Civil, Electrical, Plumbing, or Welding):

  • The learner will be issued with a formal Non-NQF Certificate of Completion for that trade area from KYB
  • This certificate confirms that the learner has met all outcomes equivalent to the original full programme
Integrates various components such as classroom sessions, introductory safety workshops, and foundational theoretical modules to establish a strong educational base. As students progress, they engage in advanced practical workshops, collaborative group projects, and individual assignments designed to enhance their expertise and deepen their understanding. The initial months focuses on core trade principles, basic concepts, and essential safety practices, whereafter students advance to developing in-depth technical skills, mastering problem-solving strategies, and applying theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios.
